What happens when managers and leaders look more closely and apply other “right-brained” competencies to drive growth and lead change?

Using the Barnes Collection as a backdrop to see management and leadership in a new and memorable way, the Barnes Foundation has launched the Research, Education, Adaptation, and Development (READ) Praxis. This new professional development program for corporate audiences uses the Barnes collection to help companies improve and empower teams, train employees, and inspire new ways of seeing in the workplace.  Paul Curci and Mare Rosenbaum from The Curci Group emphasize the business context and behavioral implications, while Bill Perthes, Director of Adult Education at The Barnes Foundation invites related conversations using works in the collection. The program’s curriculum is tailored to address a variety of corporate development needs.

“With corporate goals ranging from the practical—fostering effective communication or diversity and inclusion training—to the abstract—reinforcing shared values or promoting adaptiveness—six different curriculum modules have been developed, including: “Productive Conflict: Critical Feedback and Creative Friction,” “Consensus Building and Decision-Making,” and “Innovation: Lateral Thinking for Breakthrough Solutions.” Modules can be customized to meet the specific needs of a company or team.  READ Praxis program sessions can accommodate up to 18 people.  Half-day and full-day options are available.”
